Plaza Inn Restaurant, Hong Kong Disneyland

Maxim Plaza Inn HK Disneyland 00

After watching the night parade, we were too tired to make the journey back to our hotel so we decided to splurge a bit and have dinner at the Plaza Inn Restaurant. We’ve been to Disneyland a couple of times already but this was the first time that we stepped into Plaza Inn.

Apparently, the decor of the place is inspired by the filmΒ Mulan. The ambiance of the place is very nice and unlike the other restaurants/food places in HK Disneyland, I think it also has a more relaxing vibe to it as there are fewer people dining here; at the time that we went anyway. Also, see those red lanterns? They actually change colours! πŸ™‚

Plaza Inn serves Chinese food. Prices are a bit on the high side but that’s to be expected seeing as it is located inside Disneyland.

上桷廳 Shanghai Teng, Temple Mall HK

Ever since our first visit to Wong Tai Sin around two years ago, it’s one of the places we almost always never fail to visit when we’re in Hong Kong. Also, since the MTR stop to get to Wong Tai Sin is on the same line as Prince Edward and Mongkok, we would, more or less, always make a side trip to to visit the temple as well. πŸ˜€

Something that I like about Wong Tai Sin is the fact that there’s a mall nearby so you can easily find a place to eat before or after your visit to the temple. During our last visit, before heading to the temple we went to Temple Mall and ate at Shanghai Teng – one of the various Chinese restaurants that can be found in the area.

Pizza Express, Tung Chung Hong Kong

Pizza Express is one of the restaurants that I’ve often seen around the UK during our trip there. If I’m not mistaken, it’s also one of the well-known chains hailing from the UK. It was founded by Peter Boizot in 1965 with around 400 restaurants open alone in the UK and 40 overseas in Europe, Hong Kong, India, the Middle East, and soon in Manila, Philippines!

Pizza Express

Having read the news that they were going to open in Manila, and being a pizza fanatic myself, I knew then that I justΒ had to try it out! Though I wasn’t able to try Pizza Express at their home court in the UK, I was lucky that there’s one close by in the hotel that we were staying at during our trip to Hong Kong. I was able to try some of their dishes and honestly, from what I’ve been able to try, I can’t wait for Pizza Express to open up here in the country! ❀

Month-date: May 2017, Cebu

Haha, anyway, I’ve been meaning to write this post for some time now but it’s only now that I’ve finally found the time to do so.Β Very late month-date but better late than never! This month-date post will be about my trip to Cebu last May 2017. πŸ˜€

Cebu Shangri-la Mactan

For two nights, my family got to spend it at Shangri-la Mactan. If you ask me, this hotel has one of the best beaches in the Mactan area. Also, I love how you can connect just about anywhere in the property – even at the beach, the wi-fi connection’s really strong, not to mention fast. πŸ˜€

There are certain days wherein you can participate in fish feeding. At the place where you sign up and get your beach towels, you can ask the person there for fish feed. You can do fish feeding alone or in a group but whichever way you do it, it’s bound to be lots of fun!

Scape Skydeck, Cebu

It was Mother’s Day, and we didn’t really have any dinner reservations or things like that. In fact, we were just aimlessly driving around the city when we decided to go to Scape Skydeck. Having seen rave reviews about it on various social media sites, it has been one of the restaurants in Cebu that I’ve been really wanting to try out. As it was a holiday, I thought that we wouldn’t be able to nab a table (for 5!) here, but fortunately, we were able to do so!

Scape Skydeck is located on top of this building – which is a residential building, though not sure if it functions as a hotel too or what.

Scape Skydeck Pool

As we were 30 minutes early, the guard said that we could wait here by their pool area. The pool area is small, but strange enough, it wasn’t hot here. There was a constant breeze even though the area is closed off. Also, from behind the foliage, you can hear children playing and other street noises.

Scape Skydeck 05

The pretty view! Pretty much the reason that we came here was for this, haha. Scape is located at the Mactan side of the city, so the view is different from, say, if you’re at Tops or at the Marco Polo area. I think that the view here is refreshing as you get to see the new bridge, and old bridge too!

Dinner Buffet at Cafe Ilang-Ilang, Manila Hotel

A week or so ago, we went to Manila Hotel to belatedly celebrate my Aunt’s birthday. Anyway, we arrived there at around 7:30PM and the place was already quite packed. Since we had a reservation, we were able to be seated immediately.

Dinner at Lantaw Native Restaurant, Cebu

After going to Temple of Leah, we were famished and so we headed to Lantaw Native Restaurant to have our dinner.

Lantaw Cebu 00

Since it was still quite early, we were able to catch this beautiful view of the city. This is probably my most favourite time of day since I love the pinkish hues of the sky before dusk.
