Food parks are the new ‘in’ thing in the metro for quite some time now, so it may come as a surprise that I actually haven’t been to any.. Until recently. It took my friends and I some time to decide where to go when we decided on the Yard Streetfood Cinema located at Quezon City.
The place is really pretty! Especially around 5 pm.
After watching the night parade, we were too tired to make the journey back to our hotel so we decided to splurge a bit and have dinner at the Plaza Inn Restaurant. We’ve been to Disneyland a couple of times already but this was the first time that we stepped into Plaza Inn.
Apparently, the decor of the place is inspired by the film Mulan. The ambiance of the place is very nice and unlike the other restaurants/food places in HK Disneyland, I think it also has a more relaxing vibe to it as there are fewer people dining here; at the time that we went anyway. Also, see those red lanterns? They actually change colours! 🙂
Plaza Inn serves Chinese food. Prices are a bit on the high side but that’s to be expected seeing as it is located inside Disneyland.
After our morning tour around Oxford, we were shuttled off to The Manor for lunch before the next activity of the day. Upon first glimpse of the place, I can’t help but look at the exterior of the hotel in awe, admittedly, I’m quite a sucker to this type of architecture lol – like Mercure Warwickshire, it looks like a place straight out of a historical period drama like Downton Abbey!
Then there’s me, literally pointing out the building! 😀
There are various Belgo branches around London but the one we went to was in Noord in Camden Town. This was the first restaurant we dined in upon arrival to London.
The interior of the place is quite nice, however to get to the dining area, we had to climb a short flight of stairs – which isn’t really that much trouble, although the way was a bit dim.
I especially love the well-lit (and colourful, haha) bar area. They have a lot of beers on the menu (around 70! They have tons of beers from draught pilsners to white and Trappist ales), but since none of us really fancy alcohol, we didn’t order any and stuck to good ol’ water and soda.
Ever since our first visit to Wong Tai Sin around two years ago, it’s one of the places we almost always never fail to visit when we’re in Hong Kong. Also, since the MTR stop to get to Wong Tai Sin is on the same line as Prince Edward and Mongkok, we would, more or less, always make a side trip to to visit the temple as well. 😀
Something that I like about Wong Tai Sin is the fact that there’s a mall nearby so you can easily find a place to eat before or after your visit to the temple. During our last visit, before heading to the temple we went to Temple Mall and ate at Shanghai Teng – one of the various Chinese restaurants that can be found in the area.
Pizza Express is one of the restaurants that I’ve often seen around the UK during our trip there. If I’m not mistaken, it’s also one of the well-known chains hailing from the UK. It was founded by Peter Boizot in 1965 with around 400 restaurants open alone in the UK and 40 overseas in Europe, Hong Kong, India, the Middle East, and soon in Manila, Philippines!
Having read the news that they were going to open in Manila, and being a pizza fanatic myself, I knew then that I just had to try it out! Though I wasn’t able to try Pizza Express at their home court in the UK, I was lucky that there’s one close by in the hotel that we were staying at during our trip to Hong Kong. I was able to try some of their dishes and honestly, from what I’ve been able to try, I can’t wait for Pizza Express to open up here in the country! ❤
Haha, anyway, I’ve been meaning to write this post for some time now but it’s only now that I’ve finally found the time to do so. Very late month-date but better late than never! This month-date post will be about my trip to Cebu last May 2017. 😀
For two nights, my family got to spend it at Shangri-la Mactan. If you ask me, this hotel has one of the best beaches in the Mactan area. Also, I love how you can connect just about anywhere in the property – even at the beach, the wi-fi connection’s really strong, not to mention fast. 😀
There are certain days wherein you can participate in fish feeding. At the place where you sign up and get your beach towels, you can ask the person there for fish feed. You can do fish feeding alone or in a group but whichever way you do it, it’s bound to be lots of fun!
