Plaza Inn Restaurant, Hong Kong Disneyland

Maxim Plaza Inn HK Disneyland 00

After watching the night parade, we were too tired to make the journey back to our hotel so we decided to splurge a bit and have dinner at the Plaza Inn Restaurant. We’ve been to Disneyland a couple of times already but this was the first time that we stepped into Plaza Inn.

Apparently, the decor of the place is inspired by the filmย Mulan. The ambiance of the place is very nice and unlike the other restaurants/food places in HK Disneyland, I think it also has a more relaxing vibe to it as there are fewer people dining here; at the time that we went anyway. Also, see those red lanterns? They actually change colours! ๐Ÿ™‚

Plaza Inn serves Chinese food. Prices are a bit on the high side but that’s to be expected seeing as it is located inside Disneyland.

The Asahikawa Snow Crystal Museum in Hokkaido, Japan

One of the places my family visited during our trip to Hokkaido last July was the Asahikawa Snow Crystal Museum. It’s not really a popular tourist destination, and to be honest, it’s not really much of a museum too as there’s limited things to do and see here – basically, you just go here to look at the snow crystals, as well as passing by and looking in awe at the huge chunks of ice that they have on display in a corridor.

Upon entering the Snow Crystal Museum, this is the sight that will greet you. A crystal tree! ๐Ÿ˜€ Entrance to the museum is 650 yen for adults.

The Beautiful Shikisai-no-Oka Flower Gardens at Biei, Hokkaido

Out of all the regions in Japan, Hokkaido is probably one of the youngest. There isn’t really that much cultural sights to visit as when you’re in the Honshu area (where Tokyo is located), but it’s still worth a visit as for the lack of history, it makes up for beautiful landscape and natural sceneries. During the winter, a lot of people go here because of winter sports like skiing and the like. However, during spring and summer, it’s also visited for several activities such as hiking, summer festivals, and of course, to view the pretty flower gardens there. One of the flower gardens we visited during our trip to Hokkaido was the panoramic flower gardens of Shikisai-no-Oka, which is fifteen hectares of land in Oka-no-machi Biei that provides breathtaking views of rows upon rows of flowers.

Such a pretty sight! During our visit, it was really hot but being able to see this view was worth it. I suggest that you bring an umbrella and a hat when you visit though!

The place sort of reminds me of Sirao Flower Farm in Cebu. Obviously this one is bigger though and there are much more varieties of flowers to be seen here compared to the ones you can see in Sirao.

Lunch at The Manor at Weston On The Green Country House Hotel, UK

After our morning tour around Oxford, we were shuttled off to The Manor for lunch before the next activity of the day. Upon first glimpse of the place, I can’t help but look at the exterior of the hotel in awe, admittedly, I’m quite a sucker to this type of architecture lol – like Mercure Warwickshire, it looks like a place straight out of a historical period drama like Downton Abbey!

Then there’s me, literally pointing out the building! ๐Ÿ˜€

Dinner at Belgo, London

There are various Belgo branches around London but the one we went to was in Noord in Camden Town. This was the first restaurant we dined in upon arrival to London.

The interior of the place is quite nice, however to get to the dining area, we had to climb a short flight of stairs – which isn’t really that much trouble, although the way was a bit dim.

I especially love the well-lit (and colourful, haha) bar area. They have a lot of beers on the menu (around 70! They have tons of beers from draught pilsners to ย white ย and Trappist ales), but since none of us really fancy alcohol, we didn’t order any and stuck to good ol’ water and soda.

My Birthday Celebration at Hospicio de san Jose, Manila

I usually don’t do much on my birthday as I don’t really hold a celebration or anything like that. However, this year I wanted to celebrate it, and for a few months I have been looking as to how I can do it in a way that I can help and maybe, bring joy to other people’s lives.

Stumbling upon U!Happy Events’ website, I looked through their previous events and programs and seeing how well-organised they were, I decided to create my own event for my birthday with their organisation.

Hospicio de San Jose 07

I chose to hold my early birthday celebration at Hospicio de San Jose. You might be asking why Hospicio? For starters, this is the orphanage that we, though not really that frequently, donate old clothes and toys and other such items throughout the years.
