After watching the night parade, we were too tired to make the journey back to our hotel so we decided to splurge a bit and have dinner at the Plaza Inn Restaurant. We’ve been to Disneyland a couple of times already but this was the first time that we stepped into Plaza Inn.
Apparently, the decor of the place is inspired by the film Mulan. The ambiance of the place is very nice and unlike the other restaurants/food places in HK Disneyland, I think it also has a more relaxing vibe to it as there are fewer people dining here; at the time that we went anyway. Also, see those red lanterns? They actually change colours! 🙂
Plaza Inn serves Chinese food. Prices are a bit on the high side but that’s to be expected seeing as it is located inside Disneyland.
I had their beef noodles. The beef was tender and flavourful and so was the soup. The noodles were really good too.
We also had their fried rice. It may look small in the photo but the serving size was quite big for two people. We actually had leftovers and took it back to the hotel with us. Their fried rice had egg and shrimp mixed together. It’s also good, then again, at that point, we were really famished so everything we ate seemed delicious. 😀
Pork buns! If I recall correctly, one order = 4 pieces. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t Mickey-themed, but the taste did not disappoint. The pork bun was on the small side but it was tasty to say the least. Definitely the only thing that I’ll probably order again if given the chance to come back and eat here haha.
Overall, our experience was satisfactory – the food was good but the prices really were quite on the steep side! It was a nice experience though and quite worth the splurge; especially after spending the most part of our day at the theme park, I think we deserved this meal. That, and we didn’t really feel like battling the huge crowds who were also going to go home after the night fireworks/parade. 🙂
