The Tinder Box, Cebu

Another food review! I actually have a couple more food posts from my recent trip to Cebu, so I’m just giving you a little heads-up. ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

I think Tinder Box has been here for quite some time now, and it’s one of the restaurants that we more or less visit whenever we’re in town.

For starters we ordered their Baked Nachos & Dips. At 280 pesos, this isn’t exactly cheap, and that’s why I was quite disappointed when it arrived on our table. Why did they scrimp out on the cheese? ੨( ・᷄ ︵・᷅ )シ

The nachos were also nothing special, and not something that I’d recommend if you end up eating at Tinder Box. It’s definitely something that I won’t be ordering if we drop by there again.

Still, it wasn’t the nachos that we came to Tinder Box for! It’s for their Swiss cheese fondue. Although on the pricey side, it’s something I crave for time and time again. The set is supposedly good for 2, but I think you can share it with a much larger group – maybe up to 4 people. Their Swiss cheese fondue is a favorite of mine. I like the texture of the cheese, as well as the subtle hint of wine (haha, or at least I think there’s wine in it! ೭੧(❛▿❛✿)੭೨). The baguette cubes were also nice – although, next time maybe I should just bring pan de sal with me to dip onto the fondue lolol.

Lasagna! It was good, and as you can see from the photo, very cheesy – unlike their nachos.

The Tinder Box Pizza. It was so good, I could eat the whole thing myself. (ノ*゜▽゜*)

They’ve renovated the place, and I think I like the much ~classier~ vibe they have going on now.

Anyway, that’s from our recent visit, and below are some from our not-so-recent one. These were taken last December 2015.

I can’t attest to the quality of their main dishes and dessert as I haven’t had the chance to order them as of late, but if they retained their quality from a year ago, well, all I can say is that they’re good!

The Tinder Box is located at Gov. M. Cuenco Avenue, Kasambagan, Cebu City.
