I just got back from our Hong Kong trip yesterday, and though I did have stable internet connection at our hotel, at the end of each day, I was just too tired to post on here. Anyway, we went to Hong Kong primarily because of Dollvie! I’ve wanted to go for years now, and, finally, this year I got to go. ᶘ ᵒᴥᵒᶅ
Dollvie is a BJD/Doll event, and it was so nice to see so many types of BJDs all at once. Anyway, this post is pretty photo-heavy, so don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Dollvie was held at KITEC in Kowloon Bay. We got off at Kowloon Bay MTR Station, and from there it was a breeze as close to the station there’s a provided free shuttle going to KITEC (and from KITEC, there’s also a free shuttle going back to the MTR).
What immediately greeted us from the entrance are these cat dolls from the Pipos Doll booth.
Right next to Pipos Doll would be the Peak’s Woods booth.
I’ve been on the fence as to whether or not I like the aesthetic of the dolls offered by Peak’s Woods, but now, I can confidently say that I do like it. ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ
Look at these kyuties.
Alice in the Wonderland inspired get-up.
Ugh, so cute!!
Near the stage are the one-off dolls that were up for auction.
I don’t really like the style of her hair but I do like her dress and her eyes.
More one-off dolls.
The Rosen Lied booth. I’ve always found Rosen Lied dolls to be really cute, and after seeing them in person, I now think that they’re x10000 cuter haha.
Especially Holiday’s Child Bambi! I wanted to take her home with me, huhu.
!!! This one too, aaah.
The sizes of dolls from Rosen Lied are a bit weird though. I imagine that it’ll probably be hard to look for clothes for them.
Next to Rosen Lied would be the Migidoll booth. Honestly, before the event, I wasn’t familiar with them. By that, I mean I don’t stalk their site, haha.
I really dig the military costume. Too bad I don’t have any dolls of that size – nor am I planning to buy one in the near future, haha. ;;
I really like this doll and his outfit though!
Not quite sure what booth this doll is from, but I think it’s from SADOL.
This doll is so pretty! The way that she was posed with this mini bjd also made me laugh. This is hands-down one of my favorite set-ups from the event.
I love how detailed their outfits are.
The event was packed! There were a lot of doll owners roaming around looking at the clothes and other things for sale.
Scout outfits! Haha, I was really tempted to get one.
Dolls cosplaying! I only recognise two characters though. Nozomi and ded gurl from Shigatsu.
Passing through all the booths, I kept on snapping away, there’s just so many things to look at!
Such cute dresses!
This display was simple, and yet it was flocked around by a lot of people.
A little Cupid? Either way, it’s so cute!!
Sort-of steampunk, I guess?
Da big boss lol.
Spotted some custom Blythes + Blythe outfits for sale too!
I’m weak for this sort of dress designs! But I didn’t have any money to splurge on them, haha. ;;
Over and over, I had to repeat to myself that the only reason I was there was to take photos and not buy stuff. This dress is so cute, though!!
More traditional-looking clothes.
What a pretty fairy!! Ahh, fly away and come home with me, please. ;_;
What an adorable bby.
These two are just so cute! ;__;
I really like the faceup of this doll.
I didn’t really like this sort of bjd, but after seeing them in real life, I have to admit that they do have a certain charm. Still, they’re not really my cup of tea!
More pretty dresses.
My name is Bond. James Bond. \shot
One of the dolls from the Ringdoll booth.
!!! This bab is also one of my fave dolls from the whole event.
There were also a lot of people who dressed up prettily too. Some even wore matching outfits with their dolls. ( ＾∇＾)
I love everything about these dolls. From their hair, to their eyes, to their faceup, and even down to their outfit I like them so much!
I like this little doll house! The inside was so detailed.
!! This whole outfit is love. Another outfit inspired by Alice in the Wonderland.
Mori dresses! ❤
One of the best displays in my opinion.
Such groovy, much wow, haha.
I think this is a Volks doll? Ah, she’s so pretty! *u*
Nendos! On obitsu bodies though.
!!! I love these dresses. Also, I really like the wig and eyes of the doll on the right. （*´▽｀*）
Also, I’d love to own these two outfits, haha.
So many shoes on display.
Guys, stop being so cute pls.
Ah!! I love the way they styled the hair of the doll in pink. ❤
The Lati that I like the best.
Such pretty dresses! And a smol violin. ;__;
This bab is so cute!
I really love dress designs like these so it was hard to just pass them by.
!!! So cute.
This booth was selling headpieces. Less than a minute before I took this photo, someone took a liking of her headpiece and bought it.
Little Monica booth!
The only time I was ever tempted to actually buy a doll was when I stopped at the Little Monica booth. I really like this one, but after thinking it through, I decided not to purchase her. Ahh, hopefully, I won’t regret my decision anytime soon.
This set-up actually seemed to take a long time to finish. Kudos to the person who prepared this!
Such cuties! I think these are pajamas?
Look at them! So adorable. *u*
Spot the not. ( ＾∇＾)
Even dolls cosplay too!
BJD clothes for sale.
Love everything in this photo.
If I had a doll in this size, I’d probably buy the pink one, haha.
From the Granado booth!
That’s the end of it! Dollvie is a 2-day event, but I only went to day 1. Anyway, even though I ended up not buying anything, I did enjoy going to the event. Well, fingers crossed that I’ll get to go again next year. (❁´▽`❁)*✲ﾟ*
